When inmates are released as returning citizens, they are often on their own with minimal funds:
Because of this, Matthew 25 supports re-entry through Bridges Re-Entry and Project Safe Start, two non-profits who provide transportation, personal needs and support services upon release.

- to get transportation to all their mandated appointments,
- to find a job, clothing, personal health items and food.
